The Great Kingdoms

The majority of my novels take place within the boundaries of the Great Kingdoms. The Great Kingdoms are a collection of kingdoms that exist on the south eastern portion of the continent of Tanaraq. At the time of the first novel (the 2nd takes place 200 years later) they are:

  • Cheshire – The jewel of the Great Kingdoms, Cheshire has been a monarchy since its inception. King Armer IV currently rules the land with as much honor and dignity as his father before him. Cheshire is known for its armor and weapon smiths, as well as it’s army the Ironguards. Cheshire is welcoming of all races (within reason) and boasts a diverse and powerful economy, driven by farming goods, mining (metal and gems), exports (weapons mostly) and artisans of all kinds. Oh and they have a guardian sky dragon too, Argent the Just.
  • Hammon – Second only to Cheshire in power and wealth, Hammon is a theocracy, with the Allfather at its head. Curiously, the Revered One, also known as the Highfather, is also well respected, but bears the burden of completely devotion himself to a god for one year. Hammon has been blessed by the gods as the only ones that can appoint a Justicar, an agent of the gods themselves.
  • Vorlaria – Vorlaria is a matriarchy, currently headed by Jorja the Black, a powerful witch and psion. Vorlaria’s warriors are known and feared for their brutality. The women are taught witchcraft at an early age, with exceptionally talented ones trained in the art of the Expanded Mind, a psionic form of magic. Magic permeates the land as it is believed that the heart of Vorlaria is a magical floating city that fell to earth when magic was lost after the Dragon Slayer Wars.
