It just occurred to me that I haven’t discussed my major project, the Fallen. This one means a great deal to me as it was the first story I ever wrote. It originally existed on 4 pieces of loose leaf paper. When I developed insomnia in my mid twenties, I started expanding on this interesting (to me) story. It has gone through several revisions, but it originally clocked in at 12 pages single spaced. Then the 3.5 disk I kept it on died. Fortunately I had gotten in the habit of emailing myself the story once a week. So I only lost a week’s worth of work. I am currently expanding the last revision (17k words) into a full length novel.
Anyway, the Fallen is a dark fantasy novel set in my world of Duir’Aion. It details the emergence of a demon prince who has come to lay waste to not only the world, but the divine realms as well. The demon prince was defeated centuries ago by the combined forces of the gods of good, and their champions the paladins.
The champions that rise to face the demon prince, a collection of humans, an elf, and half-dwarf are no paladins. The path to paladinhood has been lost to ages. Worse, demons haven’t been seen in Duir’Aion for centuries either, and the knowledge of how to fight them are gone.
They have no idea what it is like to fight a creature of pure evil. They have no idea how dangerous, how seductive, how enticing such evil is. They are not ready.
Such evil will not just assault them. Everyone around them will be affected as well. The cost of such corruption may be more than they can bear.
