This is my first post in a long time. Life happens. I have had to re-prioritize things in my life and that includes my writing. So I am in the process of streamlining my various blogs into a more user friendly experience.
I may archive or remove old posts as I do this. I may even repost them. It depends on how the posts stack up to my current business plans.
So for now a quick blurb on this site.
A Darkness Rising is the imprint for my dark fantasy series. There are many stories to tell from the world of Duir’Aion, and I am looking forward to sharing them with you. At the moment I am focused on a novel length adaptation of my short story “The Fallen”. I have also published a short story entitled “Dark Harvest” that is about to get updated (new cover, 5e stats for the main character). I’m nearly done with my second short story “Tale of a Minor Chord” which features a minotaur.
My goal is to post weekly updates about both the novel and the short story. I will also post things about the world of Duir’Aion, such as the gods, magic, major races to get you acclimated to the place. As I like to tell people, it’s familiar, but wonderfully different.
For example, there are elf and dwarven kingdoms, but they are both on the decline. That decline means different things to either race, and it affects how they view the world. Of course recent events, specifically the return of the “martyred clans” of both races have forced them to rethink their views yet again. The martyred clans: the rune elves and the ash dwarves, both that make their home in the Pit, have returned to the mortal world, and they are not happy with their kin.
